Terms and Condtitions
Last Updated: May 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of all items by Lovable Antiques Ltd ("the Studio," "we," "us"). By completing a purchase on lovable-antiques.co.uk, you agree to the following terms.
1. The Nature of Antique Goods
We specialize in period-authentic antiques. By nature, these items are pre-owned and exhibit historical wear, minor imperfections, or signs of age that contribute to their character. We provide detailed photography and condition reports for every piece; it is the buyer's responsibility to review these details prior to acquisition.
2. Contract of Sale & Payments
Formation of Contract: A legally binding agreement is established only upon our formal confirmation of your order and the receipt of cleared funds in full.
Payment Facilities: Standard transactions are processed securely via Stripe. We also accommodate payments through PayPal and direct bank transfers by prior arrangement.
UK & European Settlements: We provide local banking details for transfers within the United Kingdom and Europe via Lovable Antiques Ltd (UK).
US Dollar Transactions: For our North American clientele, we offer the convenience of domestic USD bank-to-bank transfers through our US-based entity, Lovable Antiques LLC (Wyoming). This allows for local settlement within the US banking system. Detailed transfer instructions and secure payment links are available upon request.
3. Logistics & Delivery
Shipping Responsibility: All shipping for small items and furniture is governed by our Shipping & Logistics Policy.
International Freight: For furniture acquisitions outside the UK, logistics are facilitated via our partnership with Pamono to ensure professional handling and insurance.
Risk of Loss: Risk passes to the buyer upon delivery of the goods to the specified address.
4. Mandatory Inspection (The 48-Hour Rule)
Due to the fragile nature of crystal, porcelain, and antique furniture, we operate a strict inspection window:
Reporting: Any damage sustained during transit must be reported via email within 2 days (48 hours) of delivery.
Evidence: Notification must include clear photographs of the damage to the item and the condition of the exterior packaging.
Late Reports: If damage is not reported within this 48-hour window, the item will be deemed received in satisfactory condition.
5. Cancellations & Returns
14-Day Window: In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt to notify us of a return for any reason.
Return Shipping: The buyer is responsible for the cost and arrangement of return shipping via a professional, fully insured courier.
Condition: No refunds will be issued for items that arrive back at the studio damaged due to insufficient return packaging.
6. Refund Timelines
Priority Damage Settlements: If an item arrives broken and is reported within the mandatory 48-hour window, we will process your refund within 5 working days of the item being received back at our studio.
Standard Returns: For all other returns (change of mind), refunds are processed within 14 days of the item arriving back at the studio in its original condition.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including imagery, provenance reports, and branding, is the intellectual property of Lovable Antiques Ltd and is protected by UK and International copyright laws.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Limitation of Liability
Lovable Antiques Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or the purchase of goods. Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods.
