Purchase & Return Policy
This policy outlines the financial and legal terms governing all acquisitions from Lovable Antiques Ltd. By completing a purchase, the buyer agrees to the following terms.
1. Terms of Purchase & Payment Methods
Standard Payment: Transactions are processed securely through the website via Stripe. Direct Transfers: Wire transfers and BACS payments are accepted by arrangement. US Dollar Payments: For acquisitions within the United States, the studio provides the facility for domestic USD bank-to-bank transfers, allowing for local settlement within the US banking system. Final account details are provided directly to the buyer upon request.
Alternative Payment Platforms: Payments via PayPal can be facilitated upon request. Please contact the studio for a dedicated payment link.
International Furniture Transactions: Acquisitions outside of the UK involve a split-payment structure. The primary acquisition cost is paid directly to the studio, followed by a logistics payment facilitated through the Pamono platform to secure international shipping and insurance.
Condition and Authenticity: Items curated by the studio are authentic antiques and may exhibit signs of historical wear consistent with age. It is the buyer's responsibility to review all provided photographs and condition reports prior to acquisition.
2. Right to Cancel (Statutory Cooling-off Period)
Cancellation Period: In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, buyers have a right to cancel their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
Notification: To exercise the right to cancel, the studio must be notified in writing via enquiries@lovableantiques.com within this 14-day window.
3. Mandatory Inspection and Damage Reporting Due to the fragile nature of crystal, porcelain, and antique furniture, a strict inspection window is maintained to ensure transit issues are documented immediately.
Reporting Window:Any damage sustained during transit must be reported via email within 2 days (48 hours) of delivery. Reports filed after this window will result in the item being deemed received in satisfactory condition.
Evidence Required:Notification must include clear photographs of the damage to the item and the exterior packaging.
Valuation and Returns: While the 14-day statutory right to return remains, the item must be returned in the condition it was received. If an item is returned damaged without a report filed within the initial 48-hour window, a deduction of up to 100% will be applied to the refund to reflect the loss in resalable value.
4. Return Shipping Responsibility: For returns initiated under the 14-day cooling-off period, the buyer is responsible for the arrangement and cost of return shipping.
Requirement: The use of a professional, fully insured courier service is required. No refund will be issued for items that arrive back at the studio broken due to insufficient return packaging.
International Returns: For international returns, the buyer is responsible for all customs duties, levies, and brokerage fees incurred during the return of the item to the United Kingdom.
5. Refunds Processing Timeline: Refunds are issued within 5 working days of the item being received and inspected at the studio.
Deductions: The studio reserves the right to deduct amounts from the refund if the item is returned in a condition different from its dispatch state. Original shipping costs for furniture are non-refundable once the service has been performed.ed courier, as no refund will be issued for items that arrive back to us broken due to poor return packaging.
