Shipping and Delivery Policy
At Lovable Antiques Ltd, we take great care to ensure your treasures arrive safely. We use professional couriers experienced in handling delicate and heavy antique furniture.
1. Shipping Locations & Rates
We offer various shipping tiers based on your location and the value of the item:
UK Mainland: Standard shipping is included in the listing price for all furniture and antique items.
Ireland & Scotland: Shipping is included for all items with a purchase value up to £250.
For items exceeding £250: An additional shipping surcharge will apply to the portion of the cost over £250. Please contact us for a bespoke shipping quote prior to purchase.
International Shipping: For delivery outside the UK, Ireland, and Scotland, please contact us for a quote. Buyers are responsible for any import duties or customs fees.
2. MANDATORY INSPECTION & DAMAGE REPORTING (The 3-Day Rule)
Due to the fragile nature of crystal, porcelain, and antique furniture, we require all customers to inspect their items immediately upon arrival.
Reporting Window: Any damage sustained during transit must be reported to us via email within 3 days (72 hours) of delivery.
Evidence Required: You must provide clear photographs of the damage to the item and the condition of the exterior packaging.
After 3 Days: If damage is reported after this 72-hour window, the item is deemed to have been received in satisfactory condition. While you still maintain your 14-day right to return the item, if it is returned broken without a report filed within the first 3 days, a deduction of up to 100% will be made from your refund to reflect the loss in the item's value.
3. Delivery Times
Small Items (Crystal/Porcelain): Dispatched within 3–5 working days via tracked courier.
Large Furniture: Dispatched via specialist furniture couriers. Please allow 7–14 working days for delivery.
4. Return Shipping
If you choose to return an item under the 14-day cooling-off period, you are responsible for the cost and arrangement of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a professional, insured courier, as no refund will be issued for items that arrive back to us broken due to poor return packaging.
